General Questions

Are these text tools really free?
Yes! All text tools on Textly are 100% free forever. We support the site through display ads — no paid plans, no signup, no hidden costs. You can use every tool as much as you want, for personal or commercial work.
Is my text uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device. This is our privacy-first guarantee. The only exceptions are Text to Speech and Speech to Text, which use your browser's Web Speech API — and even then, Textly does not intercept or store that data.
Do I need to create an account?
No account required. Just open any tool and start using it immediately. No email, no password, no tracking. We don't have user accounts at all.
How many tools does Textly have?
Textly currently offers 33 text tools across multiple categories: Counting, Transform, Clean, Edit, Generate, Audio, Compare, SEO, Organize, Convert, Analyze, Split, Join, Format, and Extract. We're always adding new tools.
Do the tools work offline?
Most tools work offline once the page is loaded. Text to Speech and Speech to Text rely on browser APIs that may require an internet connection depending on your browser. Everything else runs fully offline.

Privacy & Security

Which browsers are supported?
Textly works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your browser. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Do you use cookies?
We use minimal cookies: one first-party localStorage entry for your theme preference (dark/light mode), and third-party cookies from Google AdSense for advertising and Cloudflare for security. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Do you track my activity?
No. We do not use analytics tracking, user profiling, or cross-site tracking. We don't know which tools you use, what text you process, or how long you stay. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log standard request data for security, but we don't use that for tracking.
Is my text data stored anywhere?
Absolutely not. Your text is processed by JavaScript in your browser and is never sent to any server, stored in a database, or saved in cookies. When you close the tab, your text is gone.

Using the Tools

Can I use these tools on mobile?
Absolutely! Textly is fully responsive and optimized for all screen sizes, including small phones down to 320px width. Every tool works on touch devices with mobile-friendly inputs.
Can I use the tools for commercial purposes?
Yes. You can use Textly tools for personal or commercial work with no restrictions. Writers, developers, marketers, students, and businesses all use our tools freely.
Is there a limit on text size?
There are no artificial limits imposed by Textly. However, very large text inputs (millions of characters) may slow down your browser since all processing happens client-side. For best performance, we recommend working with text under 500,000 characters at a time.
Do the tools support languages other than English?
Yes. Our tools handle Unicode text, so they work with most languages including Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic, and more. Text to Speech and Speech to Text support 50+ languages through the Web Speech API.
Can I use regular expressions with Find and Replace?
Yes! Our Find and Replace tool supports full regular expression syntax, case-sensitive matching, and whole-word matching. This makes it powerful for complex text transformations.

Technical & Support

How is Textly built?
Textly is built with Astro (a modern static site generator), Tailwind CSS for styling, and TypeScript for type safety. The entire site is statically generated — no backend server, no database, no API calls for tool processing. Everything runs in your browser.
What is the Web Speech API?
The Web Speech API is a browser-native technology for speech recognition and synthesis. Our Text to Speech tool uses it to convert text to audio, and Speech to Text uses it for dictation. Browser support varies — Chrome and Edge have the best support, while some browsers may require an internet connection for speech processing.
Why do I see different voices in Text to Speech?
Available voices depend on your browser and operating system. Chrome offers cloud-based voices for many languages, while Firefox and Safari use system-installed voices. Try different browsers to find the voice that works best for you.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
We'd love to hear from you! Contact us at info@toolly.site with any bug reports, feature requests, or feedback. You can also use our contact page to send a message.

Case Converter
9 answered questions Open tool →
What case formats does the converter support?

The tool supports 12 formats: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, aLtErNaTiNg cAsE, and InVeRsE cAsE. Each format is applied instantly with one click.

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes the first letter of every major word while keeping minor words (a, an, the, in, of) lowercase — ideal for headlines and book titles. Sentence case capitalizes only the first word and proper nouns — ideal for blog headlines, UI text, and email subject lines.

Does Title Case follow AP, Chicago, or MLA style?

The converter follows AP Style by default, which is the most common guide for web headlines. It lowercases articles (a, an, the), short prepositions (at, by, in, of, on, to, up), and short conjunctions (and, but, or). The first and last word are always capitalized regardless of style.

Does the case converter handle accented characters?

Yes. The converter properly handles accented characters (é, ü, ñ, ç), Unicode characters, and non-Latin scripts across all case formats. It uses locale-aware case conversion to handle edge cases like the Turkish dotted-I correctly.

Can I convert multiple lines at once?

Yes. Paste multiple lines and the converter will process all of them in the selected format. Line breaks are preserved, and each line is converted independently according to the chosen case format.

Does it preserve acronyms in Title Case?

The converter recognizes all-caps tokens of 2-5 letters as acronyms and preserves them in Title Case (e.g., "NASA Launches Probe" rather than "Nasa Launches Probe"). This prevents the common issue of naive converters lowercasing important acronyms.

Is there a text length limit for case conversion?

No. You can convert text of any length, from a single word to an entire document. The conversion is instant and happens entirely in your browser with no processing delays.

What is camelCase vs PascalCase vs snake_case used for?

camelCase is standard for JavaScript variables and JSON keys. PascalCase is used for class names and React components. snake_case is common in Python, Ruby, and database column names. kebab-case is standard for URLs, CSS classes, and file names.

Is the case converter free and private?

Yes. The tool is 100% free with no limits, no signup, and no premium tier. All conversion happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked.

Text Reverser
9 answered questions Open tool →
What is the difference between reversing characters and reversing words?

Reversing characters flips each letter backwards (hello → olleh). Reversing words keeps each word intact but reverses their order (hello world → world hello). The tool offers 12 different reverse modes including both options.

Can I reverse the order of lines without changing the text on each line?

Yes. The "Reverse Lines" mode flips the order of lines while keeping each line's text unchanged. This is perfect for reordering lists, reversing chronological entries, or flipping the order of pasted content.

Does the text reverser work with Unicode and emojis?

Yes. The reverser handles Unicode characters including emojis, accented letters, and non-Latin scripts. Complex emoji sequences are properly maintained during reversal.

What is mirror text and how does it work?

Mirror text uses Unicode reflection characters to create a visually reversed version of your text. It looks like text reflected in a mirror. This is different from character reversal — mirror text uses special Unicode characters that visually appear flipped.

Can I create upside-down text with the reverser?

Yes. The "Flip Text Upside Down" mode transforms your text using upside-down Unicode characters. This is popular for social media bios, fun messages, and creative posts. The result can be copied and pasted anywhere that supports Unicode.

What is the scramble words mode?

The "Scramble Words' Letters" mode keeps the first and last letters of each word intact but randomly scrambles the middle letters. Surprisingly, the result remains largely readable — a phenomenon studied in psycholinguistics research.

Is there a limit on text length for reversal?

No. You can reverse text of any length and get instant results. The reversal is performed entirely in your browser, so even very long documents are processed immediately.

Can I shuffle words or characters randomly?

Yes. The tool includes "Shuffle Words" and "Shuffle Characters" modes that randomly reorder words or characters in your text. This is useful for creative writing prompts, generating scrambled text, and creating puzzles.

Does reversing text preserve line breaks and formatting?

Yes. Line breaks and spacing are handled intelligently across all reverse modes. The tool maintains your text's structural formatting while applying the selected reversal transformation.

Fancy Text Generator
9 answered questions Open tool →
Are fancy text styles real fonts?

No. They are entirely different Unicode characters that happen to look like styled fonts. A font is a visual rendering applied to the same characters. Fancy text replaces each letter with a different Unicode code point (e.g., bold H is U+1D407) that renders as a styled character on any device.

Why does fancy text work on Instagram but not in usernames?

Instagram allows fancy Unicode text in bios and post captions, but restricts usernames to ASCII characters only. Most platforms allow fancy text in display names and posts but enforce ASCII-only usernames for technical and security reasons.

Will fancy text hurt my SEO?

Yes, in most cases. Search engines index the underlying Unicode characters, so regular "Hello" and bold Unicode "𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨" are different strings. Using fancy text in business names, page titles, or critical SEO content can hurt discoverability. Use it for personality and decoration, not for substance.

Why does fancy text show as boxes on some devices?

When a device's installed fonts don't include glyphs for the specific Unicode characters being used, the device renders them as empty boxes (□) or question marks. This happens on older operating systems and apps that haven't updated their font coverage for the Mathematical Alphanumeric Unicode block.

Does fancy text work with non-Latin scripts?

No. The Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block in Unicode only contains Latin and Greek letters. Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi characters have no styled Unicode equivalents. This is a fundamental limitation of every fancy text generator.

Why don't numbers convert in some fancy styles?

The Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric block has limited number coverage. While some styles include numbers 0-9, others only cover letters. This is a Unicode standard limitation, not a tool limitation — the characters simply don't exist for every style.

Can screen readers read fancy text?

Some screen readers read the full Unicode character description (e.g., "MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL H") instead of the letter, which is unusable. NVDA on Windows has added Unicode normalization to fix this, but Apple VoiceOver and Android TalkBack may still struggle. Avoid fancy text for accessibility-critical content.

Does fancy text affect SMS character limits?

Yes. Including even one Unicode character in an SMS switches the encoding from GSM-7 to UCS-2, reducing the segment size from 160 characters to 70 — effectively cutting capacity in half. Some carriers drop messages with unsupported characters entirely.

What fancy text styles are available?

The generator produces 12+ Unicode styles including bold, italic, script (cursive), fraktur (gothic), double-struck, monospace, sans-serif, circled, fullwidth, small caps, and more. Each style uses characters from different Unicode blocks like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols and Enclosed Alphanumerics.

Smart Quotes Converter
9 answered questions Open tool →
What are smart quotes vs straight quotes?

Smart quotes (also called curly or typographic quotes) are the curved quotation marks used in professional publishing. Straight quotes are the plain ASCII versions used in code and raw text. Smart quotes improve typography in published content.

When should I use smart quotes vs straight quotes?

Use smart quotes in published content — blog posts, articles, books, marketing materials. Use straight quotes in code, HTML attributes, CSV data, and technical contexts where curly quotes can cause syntax errors or encoding issues.

Can smart quotes cause problems in code?

Yes. Curly quotes in code are a common source of syntax errors. Pasting text with smart quotes into source code, HTML, or configuration files often breaks them because programming languages expect straight ASCII quotes. Always convert back to straight quotes before using text in code.

Does the converter handle apostrophes?

Yes. The tool converts straight apostrophes to curly apostrophes and vice versa. It intelligently distinguishes between apostrophes used as possessives/contractions and those used as single quotes, applying the correct direction for each context.

What are guillemets (angle quotes)?

Guillemets (« ») are quotation marks used in many European languages including French, Italian, Spanish, and Russian. The tool can convert straight quotes to guillemets, which is useful for multilingual content and proper typography in non-English publications.

Can I convert smart quotes back to straight quotes?

Yes. The tool supports bidirectional conversion — you can convert straight quotes to smart quotes and smart quotes back to straight quotes. This is essential when copying text from word processors into code editors or CMS platforms.

Does it handle single and double quotes?

Yes. The tool processes both single quotes (apostrophes) and double quotes. It applies the correct opening and closing direction for each based on context within the text.

Why do my smart quotes show as garbled text?

This is an encoding issue. Smart quotes are non-ASCII Unicode characters that display as garbled text (often â€" or ’) when a UTF-8 document is read as Latin-1 or Windows-1252. Ensure your HTML has the correct charset meta tag (<meta charset="utf-8">).

Is the smart quotes converter free and private?

Yes. The tool is 100% free with no signup required. All conversion happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This is important for writers and editors working with unpublished or sensitive content.

Upside Down Text Generator
9 answered questions Open tool →
How does the upside down text generator work?

The tool converts each character in your text to its upside-down Unicode equivalent. Letters like "a" become "ɐ", "b" becomes "q", and so on. It can also reverse the order of characters for a full upside-down effect. The result is text that appears flipped vertically.

Can I copy and paste upside down text anywhere?

Yes. Since the output uses standard Unicode characters, you can paste upside-down text anywhere that supports Unicode — social media bios, posts, messages, comments, and more. It works on Instagram, Twitter, Discord, TikTok, WhatsApp, and most modern platforms.

Why do some characters not flip properly?

Not every character has an upside-down Unicode equivalent. Some letters, numbers, and symbols don't have rotated versions in the Unicode standard. In these cases, the tool leaves the character as-is or substitutes the closest available character.

Does upside down text work with non-Latin scripts?

No. The upside-down Unicode characters only exist for Latin letters and some common symbols. Non-Latin scripts like Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and Hindi do not have upside-down equivalents in the Unicode standard.

Can I reverse the text order along with flipping it?

Yes. The tool can optionally reverse the character order in addition to flipping each character upside down. When both effects are combined, the text reads normally when the device is physically turned upside down — the full upside-down effect.

Will upside down text hurt my SEO?

Yes. Search engines index the underlying Unicode characters, which are different from regular text. Using upside-down text in business names, page titles, or critical SEO content can hurt discoverability. Use it for fun and decoration in social media, not for important content.

Can screen readers read upside down text?

Most screen readers will not read upside-down text correctly. They may read the Unicode character names or skip them entirely. Avoid using upside-down text in content that needs to be accessible to visually impaired users.

Does upside down text affect SMS character limits?

Yes. Upside-down characters are Unicode, which means including them in an SMS switches the encoding from GSM-7 to UCS-2, reducing the segment size from 160 characters to 70. Be aware of this when sending upside-down text via SMS.

Is the upside down text generator free?

Yes. The tool is completely free with no signup, no limits, and no premium tier. All conversion happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked.

Privacy Policy Scanner
9 answered questions Open tool →
What regulations does the privacy policy scanner check?

The tool scans privacy policies against GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), COPPA (US children's privacy), and other major privacy regulations. It identifies missing clauses, detects data collection types, analyzes third-party sharing, and extracts user rights from your policy text.

How does the compliance score work?

The tool assigns a compliance score based on how many required clauses and disclosures are present in your privacy policy. A higher score indicates better coverage of regulatory requirements. The tool also provides specific recommendations for improving your score.

Can it detect what data my policy says is collected?

Yes. The scanner analyzes your policy text and identifies the types of data collection mentioned — personal information, cookies, location data, usage data, etc. It also detects third-party sharing disclosures and advertising network references.

Does it extract user rights from the policy?

Yes. The tool identifies and extracts user rights mentioned in your privacy policy — right to access, right to delete, right to opt-out, right to data portability, etc. This helps you verify that all required rights under GDPR and CCPA are properly disclosed.

Can I export the compliance report?

Yes. The tool generates a detailed compliance report that you can export. The report includes the compliance score, identified gaps, detected data collection types, third-party sharing analysis, and extracted user rights — useful for legal review and internal documentation.

Is the scanner a substitute for legal advice?

No. The tool is a preliminary scanning utility that identifies common compliance gaps and missing clauses. It is not a substitute for professional legal review. Always consult with a qualified privacy attorney to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations.

Does it work for privacy policies in languages other than English?

The scanner is optimized for English-language privacy policies. While it may identify some issues in other languages, the pattern matching and clause detection are designed for English legal text. For non-English policies, use it as a preliminary check and consult a local legal expert.

How often should I scan my privacy policy?

Scan your privacy policy whenever you update it, when new regulations take effect, or when your data practices change. At minimum, review and scan annually. GDPR and CCPA both require keeping privacy policies current with actual data practices.

Is my privacy policy text stored or sent to a server?

No. All scanning happens in your browser. Your privacy policy text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This is especially important since privacy policies may contain sensitive business information and internal practices.

Readability Score Checker
9 answered questions Open tool →
What readability formulas does the checker support?

The tool calculates 7 readability formulas: Flesch Reading Ease, Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, Gunning Fog Index, SMOG Index, Coleman-Liau Index, Automated Readability Index (ARI), and Dale-Chall Score. Each uses different inputs to estimate text difficulty.

What is a good Flesch Reading Ease score?

For general web content, aim for a score of 60-70 (8th-9th grade level). Scores of 80-90 are easy (6th grade, good for marketing copy). Scores of 30-50 are difficult (college level). Below 30 is very difficult (graduate level). Higher scores mean easier reading.

What is the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level?

The Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level estimates the U.S. school grade needed to understand your text. A score of 8.0 means an eighth-grader can read it comfortably. For most web content, target grades 6-8 for broad accessibility. The formula uses average sentence length and average syllables per word.

How do I lower my readability grade level?

Split long sentences into shorter ones, replace complex words with simpler alternatives, remove stacked clauses, and define specialist terms near first use. Aim for an average of 15-20 words per sentence when writing for a broad audience. Fewer syllables per word also helps.

Why do Coleman-Liau and Flesch-Kincaid show different grade levels?

They use different inputs. Flesch-Kincaid counts syllables (phonetic units), while Coleman-Liau counts characters (spelling units). Since syllable count doesn't always correlate with word length (e.g., "rhythm" has 2 syllables and 6 letters, "squeeze" has 1 syllable and 7 letters), the two indices can vary slightly.

Does readability affect SEO rankings?

Google's Helpful Content System rewards content that provides a satisfying, accessible user experience. While Google doesn't use Flesch-Kincaid directly, if readers bounce because content is too dense, that pogo-sticking behavior is a negative signal. Matching readability to your audience's level indirectly supports better rankings.

What readability level should blog posts target?

For general web audiences, target a 7th to 9th grade level (Flesch score of 60-70). This range is easy for the average reader to consume quickly without fatigue while still containing enough detail to be informative. Marketing copy should aim even lower (5th-7th grade).

Can I use readability scores for academic writing?

Yes. Academic and technical writing naturally scores higher, so use the numbers as signals rather than strict rules. Keep necessary technical terms, but simplify surrounding sentence structure so readers can follow the argument. Academic papers typically score at college level or above.

Is the readability checker free and private?

Yes. The tool is 100% free with no signup. All analysis happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This is important for writers and editors working with unpublished or sensitive content.

Keyword Density Analyzer
9 answered questions Open tool →
What is a good keyword density for SEO in 2026?

There is no officially recommended keyword density, but 0.5%-2.5% for your primary keyword is where well-written content naturally lands. Above 3% may trigger keyword stuffing classifiers. Above 5% risks a manual action under Google's spam policies. Focus on natural usage rather than hitting a specific number.

How is keyword density calculated?

Keyword density = (number of keyword occurrences / total word count) × 100. For example, if your target keyword appears 10 times in a 1,000-word article, the density is 1%. The tool calculates this automatically for 1-word, 2-word, and 3-word phrases.

What is the difference between 1-word, 2-word, and 3-word analysis?

1-word analysis (unigrams) shows individual word frequency. 2-word analysis (bigrams) shows common two-word phrases. 3-word analysis (trigrams) shows three-word phrases. Analyzing all three helps you understand both individual keyword usage and long-tail phrase coverage.

Does keyword density still matter for SEO?

Keyword density is no longer a direct ranking factor — Google's neural retrieval systems (BERT, MUM) understand semantic coverage, not just word frequency. However, density is useful as a guardrail to avoid keyword stuffing and ensure your content is actually about the topic it claims to cover.

Why are stop words filtered from the analysis?

Stop words (the, a, an, in, of, to, and) are common words that don't carry topical meaning. Filtering them surfaces meaningful keywords and phrases instead of filler words. The tool uses a 174-word English stopword list so that substantive phrases rise to the top.

Can I track specific target keywords?

Yes. Enter target keywords (one per line) and the tool tracks their density, count, and position of first mention. Target keywords are never filtered as stop words, even if they would normally be excluded. This is useful for verifying your focus keyword appears at the right frequency.

Can I export the keyword density results?

Yes. The tool supports CSV export of keyword density results, including keyword, count, and density percentage. This is useful for SEO reporting, content audits, and sharing analysis with clients or team members.

Does it work for non-English content?

The tool handles Unicode correctly and counts words in any language. However, the stopword filter is English-only, so for non-English content, use manual target keyword entry instead of auto-detect. This ensures meaningful results for German, French, Spanish, and other languages.

Is my text private when using the keyword density analyzer?

Yes. All analysis happens in your browser. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This is especially important for SEO professionals working with unpublished content or client drafts.

Word Frequency Counter
9 answered questions Open tool →
What does the word frequency counter do?

The tool counts how often each word appears in your text, with powerful filtering, sorting, and analysis features. It includes stop word exclusion, word length distribution, character frequency analysis, n-gram frequency, visual bar charts, and export capabilities.

Can I exclude stop words from the frequency count?

Yes. The tool can filter out common English stop words (the, a, an, in, of, to, and, etc.) so that meaningful words surface to the top of the frequency list. This gives you a clearer picture of the actual content words in your text.

What is n-gram frequency analysis?

N-gram analysis counts the frequency of multi-word phrases — 2-word (bigrams) and 3-word (trigrams) sequences. This reveals common phrases and collocations in your text, which is useful for content analysis, SEO optimization, and linguistic research.

Can I see word length distribution?

Yes. The tool displays word length distribution, showing how many words of each length (1-letter, 2-letter, 3-letter, etc.) appear in your text. This is useful for linguistic analysis, readability assessment, and understanding text complexity.

Does it include character frequency analysis?

Yes. The tool counts how often each character appears in your text, including letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation. This is useful for cryptography, encoding analysis, and understanding character distribution patterns.

Can I export the frequency results?

Yes. The tool supports export of frequency results in multiple formats. This is useful for content analysis reports, linguistic research documentation, and sharing findings with colleagues or clients.

Is there a limit on text size for frequency analysis?

No hard limit. The tool handles large texts efficiently in your browser. Very large documents (over 500,000 characters) may take a moment to process, but the frequency counting algorithm is optimized for performance.

Does it work with non-English text?

Yes. The tool handles Unicode and works with most languages. However, the stop word filter is English-only. For non-English content, you can still see frequency counts — just be aware that common function words in other languages won't be filtered.

Is my text private when using the word frequency counter?

Yes. All analysis happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for analyzing confidential documents, unpublished research, or proprietary content.

Text Repeater
9 answered questions Open tool →
What is the maximum repeat count?

You can repeat text up to 10,000 times. This limit ensures browser performance remains smooth. For most use cases, even 1,000 repetitions are processed instantly with no lag.

Can I use a custom separator between repetitions?

Yes. Select "Custom..." from the separator dropdown and enter any text as your separator. Built-in options include newlines, spaces, commas, pipes, and dashes. The separator is applied between each repetition.

Does numbering work with all separators?

Yes. Numbering adds "1. ", "2. ", etc. before each repetition regardless of the separator chosen. You can also enable zero-padding for consistent-width numbers (01., 02., 03., ...).

Can I add different text before and after each repetition?

Yes. The Prefix & Suffix Per Repeat feature lets you add custom text before and after each repetition independently. This is perfect for generating structured data, code snippets, or formatted lists.

Is there a character limit for the input text?

There is no hard limit on input text length. However, very long input text combined with high repeat counts may slow down your browser. The output size limiter helps prevent accidentally generating massive text blocks.

Can I insert an incrementing counter in my text?

Yes. Use {n} or {n:start} placeholders in your text to insert an incrementing counter. For example, "Item {n:1}" produces "Item 1", "Item 2", "Item 3", etc. This is perfect for generating numbered lists and test data.

Can I shuffle the order of repetitions?

Yes. The Random Order Shuffling option randomly shuffles the order of repetitions for randomized output patterns. This is useful for generating randomized test data or creative content.

What are nested repeat patterns?

Nested repeat patterns allow you to repeat a block of text with inner repetitions — for example, repeating a section 5 times where each section itself contains a line repeated 3 times. This is perfect for generating structured test data.

Does the text repeater work offline?

Yes. All repetition happens locally in your browser. No data is uploaded to any server. Once the page is loaded, you can use the tool even without an internet connection.

Lorem Ipsum Generator
9 answered questions Open tool →
What is Lorem Ipsum and why is it used?

Lorem Ipsum is placeholder text used in design and publishing. It's derived from a Latin text by Cicero, scrambled to look like readable text without distracting the viewer. Designers use it to fill mockups and wireframes so clients focus on layout rather than content.

Can I generate text by paragraphs, sentences, or words?

Yes. The generator supports three modes: paragraphs for layout testing, sentences for shorter blocks, and words for precise control. Specify exactly how many units you want generated.

How much text can I generate?

There's no hard limit. You can generate hundreds of paragraphs if needed. The tool uses the standard Lorem Ipsum corpus with some randomization in sentence selection, so you'll get varied but classic-looking output each time.

Is the generated text always the same?

No. The tool uses the standard Lorem Ipsum corpus with randomization in sentence selection, so you'll get varied output each time. However, all generated text follows the classic Lorem Ipsum style and vocabulary.

Can I generate Lorem Ipsum in other languages?

This tool generates classic Latin Lorem Ipsum, which is the industry standard for design mockups. For other placeholder languages, you may need a specialized tool. Latin Lorem Ipsum is preferred because it doesn't distract readers with meaningful content.

Why use Lorem Ipsum instead of real content in designs?

Lorem Ipsum lets designers and clients focus on visual layout, typography, and spacing without being distracted by the meaning of the text. It has a natural distribution of word lengths and sentence structures that mimics real English text.

Can I copy the generated text with one click?

Yes. After generating text, click the copy button to instantly copy it to your clipboard. You can then paste it directly into your designs, mockups, wireframes, or prototypes.

Is the Lorem Ipsum generator free?

Yes. The tool is completely free with no premium tier, no usage caps, and no signup required. Generate placeholder text as often as you need, for personal or commercial projects.

Does the generator work offline?

Yes. Generation happens entirely in your browser. Once the page is loaded, you can generate Lorem Ipsum text even without an internet connection. No data is sent to any server.

Password Generator
9 answered questions Open tool →
Is it safe to generate passwords in an online tool?

Yes, if the tool generates passwords entirely in your browser without sending anything to a server. This tool uses the browser's Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) — the same cryptographically secure random number generator used by banks and government agencies. No password is ever transmitted to any server.

How long should my password be in 2026?

For most accounts, use at least 16 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols — this gives approximately 99+ bits of entropy. For high-value accounts (banking, email, password manager master), use 20+ characters. Length matters far more than complexity.

What is the difference between crypto.getRandomValues and Math.random?

crypto.getRandomValues() is a cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator (CSPRNG) seeded by the operating system's entropy pool — it's designed for security. Math.random() is not designed for security and is predictable. This tool uses only crypto.getRandomValues, never Math.random.

What is a passphrase and should I use one?

A passphrase is a sequence of common words separated by a delimiter (e.g., "Happy-Tiger-Cloud-Robot"). Passphrases are easier to type and remember while still being very strong. A 6-word passphrase from a large wordlist reaches 77+ bits of entropy — comparable to a 12-character complex password but far easier to recall.

What does "exclude ambiguous characters" do?

This option removes characters that look alike across common fonts: 0/O, 1/l/I. It reduces typos when you need to type a password by hand (e.g., on a TV remote or gaming console). The small reduction in entropy is negligible compared to the usability benefit.

Can I generate multiple passwords at once?

Yes. The tool supports batch generation — generate 10, 50, 100, or any custom number of passwords at once. You can copy all passwords to clipboard or download them as a text file. This is useful for creating accounts for a team or generating API keys.

Should I reuse passwords across different accounts?

Never. Use unique passwords for every account. If one site gets breached, all accounts sharing that password are exposed. Use a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password to store unique passwords for each account without memorizing them.

Does the password generator work offline?

Yes. Once the page loads, you can generate passwords even without an internet connection. All generation happens in your browser using the Web Crypto API. This is a key advantage over server-side generators that require a network connection.

What is password entropy and why does it matter?

Entropy measures how unpredictable a password is, calculated as: length × log2(charset size). A 16-character password using all character types has about 105 bits of entropy. At 10 billion guesses per second (fast GPU), 80 bits takes millions of years, and 100+ bits is practically uncrackable.

Remove Duplicate Lines
9 answered questions Open tool →
Why aren't my duplicates being detected?

The most common reason is hidden whitespace. Lines that look identical may differ by trailing spaces or tabs. Enable "Trim whitespace" to compare lines on their trimmed form. Also check if you need case-insensitive mode — "Apple" and "apple" are different by default.

Does deduplication preserve the original order?

Yes. The tool uses stable dedup by default — the first occurrence of each line is kept, and the order of those first occurrences matches the input. This is different from shell "sort -u" which sorts and loses input order.

Can I remove duplicates case-insensitively?

Yes. Enable case-insensitive comparison to treat "Hello", "HELLO", and "hello" as the same line. The capitalization of the first occurrence is preserved. Use this for email addresses, domain names, and usernames where case doesn't matter.

Can I see how many duplicates were removed?

Yes. The tool displays a count of how many duplicate lines were removed, so you can verify the operation worked as expected. The stats badge shows the before and after line counts.

How many lines can the tool handle?

The tool comfortably handles up to 100,000 lines in your browser. Beyond that, browser performance may slow down. For massive datasets, split into chunks of 50,000, deduplicate each, then deduplicate the combined output.

Can I sort the results after removing duplicates?

Yes. The tool includes an optional sort feature that alphabetizes the unique results after deduplication. You can also remove empty lines and trim whitespace in the same pass for a complete cleanup.

Does it handle Windows vs Unix line endings?

Yes. The tool normalizes line endings automatically, handling Windows (CRLF), Unix (LF), and old Mac (CR) formats. This prevents the common issue where Windows-created files have hidden carriage returns that break deduplication.

Can I deduplicate email lists?

Absolutely. Enable case-insensitive matching and trim whitespace for email deduplication. Gmail treats "user@gmail.com" and "User@Gmail.com" as the same address, so case-insensitive mode is essential for accurate email list cleanup.

Is my text private when removing duplicates?

Yes. All deduplication happens in your browser. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for processing confidential data like customer lists, email addresses, and proprietary content.

Word Counter
9 answered questions Open tool →
How does the word counter count words?

The counter splits text on whitespace (spaces, tabs, line breaks) and counts each chunk as one word. It handles multiple consecutive spaces, ignores empty lines, and properly deals with punctuation attached to words. This matches how Microsoft Word and Google Docs count words.

Does it count hyphenated words and contractions as one word?

Yes. Hyphenated words like "self-aware" count as one word, and contractions like "don't" also count as one word. The counter uses intelligent parsing that recognizes these patterns rather than naively splitting on every punctuation mark.

How is reading time calculated?

Reading time is based on an average speed of 200 words per minute. Speaking time uses 130 words per minute. Both are estimates for planning purposes — your actual speed may vary depending on content complexity and reading style.

How many words should a blog post be for SEO in 2026?

Top-ranking blog posts for competitive keywords typically contain 1,500–2,500 words. Comprehensive pillar content often reaches 3,000–5,000 words. Short informational posts can rank with 800–1,200 words for low-competition queries. Quality and relevance matter more than hitting a specific number.

Are emojis counted as characters?

Yes. The counter uses proper Unicode segmentation, which means complex emojis like family emoji count as one character, matching how platforms like Twitter count them. Regular emojis, accented letters, and non-Latin script characters all work correctly.

Is there a character limit for the word counter?

No. You can paste text of any length — from a single sentence to an entire novel. The counter handles it instantly in your browser. For optimal performance with extremely large texts (over 500,000 characters), processing remains smooth but may take a fraction longer to render.

Does the word counter work with different languages?

Yes. The counter supports Unicode and works with most languages including Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic, and accented characters. Non-Latin scripts are counted correctly using Unicode-aware word boundary detection.

Can I use the word counter for academic writing?

Absolutely. Many students use it to check word counts for essays, dissertations, and assignments with specific word requirements. The counter matches the counting method used by Microsoft Word, so your academic submissions will have consistent word counts.

Is my text stored or sent to a server?

No. All counting happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device, is never uploaded to a server, and is never stored in cookies or databases. When you close the tab, your text is gone.

Social Media Character Counter

Reading Time Calculator
9 answered questions Open tool →
How is reading time calculated?

Reading time is based on an average speed of 200-250 words per minute for adult readers. The tool divides your total word count by this rate and rounds up to the nearest minute. You can adjust the words-per-minute setting to match your audience.

What is a good reading speed for web content?

The average adult reads at 200-250 words per minute. For web content, most readers scan rather than read word-by-word, effectively processing 300-400 words per minute. Set your WPM to 200 for conservative estimates or 250 for standard estimates.

How is speaking time different from reading time?

Speaking time uses a slower rate of approximately 130 words per minute, reflecting natural speech pace including pauses and emphasis. This is useful for presentation planning, podcast scripting, and voiceover work where timing matters.

Can I adjust the words-per-minute setting?

Yes. The tool provides adjustable WPM settings for both reading and speaking time. This lets you customize estimates for different audiences — children read slower (~150 WPM), while speed readers may handle 400+ WPM.

How does the page count estimate work?

The tool estimates page count based on a standard of approximately 250-300 words per page, which is typical for double-spaced 12pt text. This is useful for academic writing, manuscript planning, and estimating print length.

What is text difficulty scoring?

The tool analyzes sentence length, word complexity, and syllable density to assign a difficulty score. This helps you understand whether your text is suitable for your target audience — simpler text scores lower (easier to read), while technical text scores higher.

Can I use the reading time calculator for presentations?

Yes. The speaking time estimate is perfect for presentation planning. Enter your script to see how long it will take to deliver, then adjust content to fit your time slot. The session planning feature includes break recommendations for longer presentations.

Does it work for non-English text?

Audio

2 tools
Text to Speech
9 answered questions Open tool →
Why do I hear different voices on different devices?

The tool uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API, which relies on voices installed on your operating system. Available voices vary by device and browser — Chrome offers cloud-based voices for many languages, while Firefox and Safari use system-installed voices.

Can I download the audio as a file?

The current version plays audio in real-time using the browser's Speech Synthesis API. Downloading audio as a file is not supported because the browser API is designed for live playback, not file export. For downloadable narration, use a dedicated desktop TTS application.

Does text to speech work offline?

Some browsers cache speech synthesis voices for offline use, but others require an internet connection to load voices. Chrome's cloud voices need a connection, while system-installed voices on most operating systems work offline. Results vary by browser and OS.

Is there a text length limit for text to speech?

Very long texts may be truncated by some browsers due to engine limitations. For best results, try breaking extremely long texts into smaller sections. The tool includes a speaking time estimate so you can gauge duration before playing.

Why does the voice list appear empty on first load?

Browsers populate voices asynchronously — the list fills in after the speech engine initializes. Clicking into the page or waiting a moment usually fixes it. Chrome in particular fills the voice list only after the engine finishes loading.

Can I adjust the speed and pitch of the speech?

Yes. The tool provides adjustable speech rate (0.5x to 2x), pitch control, and volume adjustment. These controls let you fine-tune the voice for slow listening, rapid scanning, or matching a specific tone for your project.

Does it support languages other than English?

Yes. The tool supports 50+ languages through the Web Speech API. You can search and filter voices by language. Multi-language support makes it useful for language learners, accessibility, and multilingual content creation.

Why does the speech cut off partway through long text?

Some speech engines have a length limit per utterance. If your text is very long, the engine may stop partway. Splitting the text into sentences or paragraphs and queueing them is more reliable than one giant block.

Is my text sent to a server when using text to speech?

Textly does not intercept or store your text. The tool passes text directly to your browser's SpeechSynthesis API. However, some platform voices are cloud-backed — the synthesizer may stream text to the vendor for higher-quality audio. For sensitive material, prefer voices marked as local or offline.

Text Diff Checker
9 answered questions Open tool →
How does the text diff checker compare two texts?

The tool compares two blocks of text line by line and highlights every addition and deletion. It uses a longest-common-subsequence algorithm similar to Unix diff. Additions are shown in green, removals in red, and unchanged content appears without highlighting.

Can I compare code files with the diff checker?

Yes. Paste code into either panel. The tool handles any plain text content including code, JSON, XML, YAML, and prose. It works well for reviewing code changes, comparing configuration files, and checking document versions.

Does it handle Windows vs Unix line endings (CRLF vs LF)?

The tool compares text as-is, so a Windows file (CRLF) pasted against a Unix file (LF) will show every line as different even when content matches. Normalize line endings in both sources first, or strip carriage returns before pasting for accurate comparison.

Can I ignore whitespace or case differences?

Yes. The tool supports ignore options for case, all whitespace, trailing whitespace only, and blank lines. These independent toggles let you focus on meaningful changes while filtering out formatting differences that don't matter.

Is there a size limit for text comparison?

There is no hard limit. Texts up to a few hundred KB diff in well under a second. Past 1 MB, rendering the highlights gets expensive for the browser. For huge log files, narrow down to the section you care about first.

Can I copy or download the diff results?

Yes. You can copy the comparison results to paste into documents or share with your team. The tool also supports unified diff export in the standard ---/+++/@@ patch format used by git, which can be dropped into PR comments or bug reports.

What is the difference between side-by-side and unified view?

Side-by-side shows the original text on the left and the changed text on the right, with differences highlighted in each column. Unified shows a single column with + for added lines and − for removed lines — the same format you see in git diffs.

Why does the diff sometimes look fragmented?

Character-level diff aligns short common substrings — the, a, single letters, punctuation — wherever it can. A semantic cleanup pass groups these into word-level chunks where possible, but two unrelated paragraphs will still produce a fragmented result.

Is my text sent to a server when comparing?

No. Every comparison runs entirely in JavaScript inside your browser. Your text is not uploaded, logged, stored, or sent to any third party. You can verify this by opening DevTools → Network: zero requests fire when you compare.

Extract

Email Extractor
9 answered questions Open tool →
What does the email extractor do?

The tool finds and extracts all email addresses from any text instantly. It validates email formats, removes duplicates, sorts alphabetically or by frequency, filters by domain, and exports results as CSV or TXT. Perfect for data cleaning, lead generation, and contact list building.

How does the email extractor find emails in text?

The tool uses regex pattern matching to identify email addresses in your text. It looks for the standard email format (username@domain.tld) and validates each match against email format rules. This catches emails embedded in paragraphs, lists, code comments, or any plain text.

Can it validate email addresses?

Yes. The tool checks each extracted email against standard email format rules. This filters out invalid addresses like "user@domain" (missing TLD) or "user@@domain.com" (double @). Note that format validation doesn't verify the email actually exists — it only checks the format is correct.

Can I remove duplicate emails?

Yes. The tool automatically removes duplicate email addresses from the results. You can also enable case-insensitive deduplication to treat "User@Example.com" and "user@example.com" as the same address, which is how email servers handle them.

Can I filter emails by domain?

Yes. The tool supports domain filtering — you can include or exclude emails from specific domains. This is useful for separating corporate emails from personal ones, filtering out free email providers (gmail.com, yahoo.com), or targeting specific organization domains.

Can I see domain statistics?

Yes. The tool displays domain statistics showing how many emails were found from each domain. This helps you understand the distribution of email providers in your data and identify the most common domains.

Can I export the extracted emails?

Yes. The tool supports export as CSV (with columns for email, domain, and count) or TXT (one email per line). This makes it easy to import extracted emails into CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or spreadsheets.

Is it legal to extract email addresses from text?

Extracting emails from your own text, documents, or data you legitimately have access to is generally fine. However, using extracted emails for marketing may be subject to GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other regulations. Always comply with applicable privacy and anti-spam laws when using extracted email addresses.

Is my text private when using the email extractor?

Yes. All extraction happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This is critical since the text being processed may contain sensitive contact information.

Text Wrapper
9 answered questions Open tool →
What does the text wrapper do?

The tool wraps your text to a specific column width, breaking long lines so they fit within a set number of characters. You can choose word-aware wrapping (break at spaces) or hard character wrapping (break anywhere). Customize the wrap width, indentation, and break behavior.

What is the difference between word wrap and character wrap?

Word wrapping breaks lines at the nearest space before the width limit, keeping words intact. Character (hard) wrapping breaks at exactly the specified width, even if it splits a word. Word wrapping produces more readable output; character wrapping ensures exact width compliance.

Can I set a custom wrap width?

Yes. Specify any column width in characters. Common widths include 80 for terminal/code, 72 for email, and 40-50 for mobile displays. The tool wraps your text to exactly the width you specify.

Can I add indentation to wrapped text?

Yes. The tool supports custom indentation for wrapped lines. This is useful for formatting code comments, README files, email quotes with leading >, or nested text structures where each level of wrapping needs additional indentation.

Is it useful for formatting email content?

Yes. Email clients often display plain text at 72-80 characters wide. Wrapping your email content to 72 characters ensures it displays correctly across all email clients without awkward line breaks or text overflow.

Can I use the text wrapper for code comments?

Absolutely. Wrapping code comments to 80 characters is a common convention. The tool can add comment-style indentation (e.g., " * " for JSDoc or "# " for Python) to each wrapped line, producing ready-to-paste formatted comments.

Does it preserve existing line breaks?

By default, the tool respects existing line breaks and only wraps lines that exceed the specified width. This means short lines are preserved as-is while long lines are wrapped to fit within the column width.

Can I wrap text on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on all devices. The touch-friendly interface makes it easy to wrap text on phones and tablets without needing a desktop computer.

Is my text private when using the text wrapper?

Yes. All wrapping happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for formatting confidential emails, proprietary documentation, or sensitive content.

Join

Text Joiner
9 answered questions Open tool →
What does the text joiner do?

The tool combines multiple lines, words, or text fragments into a single string using custom separators. You can join with commas, spaces, newlines, or any custom text. Options include trimming whitespace, skipping empty lines, and adding quotes around items.

Can I join lines with a custom separator?

Yes. Enter any custom separator text — commas, semicolons, pipes, dashes, or any string. The tool joins all lines using your chosen separator, giving you full control over the output format.

Can I add quotes around each item when joining?

Yes. The tool can wrap each item in single or double quotes during the join operation. This is useful for creating SQL IN clauses, JSON arrays, CSV fields, or programming language array literals.

Can I skip empty lines when joining?

Yes. Enable the "Skip empty lines" option to exclude blank lines from the joined output. This ensures clean results when working with text that has extra line breaks or whitespace-only lines.

Can I trim whitespace before joining?

Yes. The "Trim whitespace" option removes leading and trailing spaces from each line before joining. This prevents accidental double spaces or misaligned items in the output, which is especially useful for data from spreadsheets or copied text.

Is the text joiner useful for creating SQL queries?

Absolutely. Paste a list of values, enable single-quote wrapping, and set the separator to a comma. The output is immediately usable in a SQL IN clause: 'value1', 'value2', 'value3'. This saves significant time when building queries from ID lists.

Can I join text on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on all devices. The touch-friendly interface makes it easy to join text on phones and tablets without needing a desktop computer.

Is there a limit on the number of lines I can join?

No hard limit. The tool handles thousands of lines efficiently in your browser. Very large inputs may take a moment to process, but the join operation itself is computationally simple and fast.

Is my text private when using the text joiner?

Yes. All joining happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for joining confidential data like customer lists, database values, or proprietary content.

Text Sorter
9 answered questions Open tool →
What sorting options does the text sorter offer?

The tool supports alphabetical sort (A-Z), reverse alphabetical (Z-A), numerical sort, sort by line length (shortest to longest or vice versa), and reverse order. Additional options include case-insensitive sorting and removing empty lines during sort.

Does it sort numbers correctly (not alphabetically)?

Yes. When numerical sort is enabled, the tool sorts numbers by their numeric value (2, 10, 100) rather than alphabetically (10, 2, 100). Mixed lines that aren't pure numbers fall back to string sort. This is essential for sorting port numbers, IDs, and amounts.

Can I sort case-insensitively?

Yes. Toggle case-insensitive sorting to treat "Apple" and "apple" as equivalent for sorting purposes. This is useful for sorting names, titles, and other text where capitalization shouldn't affect ordering.

Can I remove empty lines while sorting?

Yes. Enable the "Remove empty lines" option to strip blank lines during the sort operation. This is useful when sorting data copied from sources that include extra blank lines, giving you a clean sorted output.

Can I sort by line length?

Yes. The tool can sort lines by length — either shortest to longest or longest to shortest. This is useful for organizing content by complexity, finding the shortest or longest entries, or preparing text for display formatting.

Is there a limit on the number of lines I can sort?

The tool comfortably handles up to 100,000 lines in your browser. Beyond that, browser performance may degrade. For massive datasets, process in chunks of 50,000 lines and sort the final combined output.

Does the sorter preserve my original line order?

No — sorting reorders lines by definition. If you need to preserve original order, use the Remove Duplicate Lines tool instead, which defaults to stable deduplication that preserves the input order of remaining lines.

Can I sort text on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on all devices including phones and tablets. The interface is touch-friendly, making it easy to sort lists on the go without needing a desktop computer.

Is my text private when using the text sorter?

Yes. All sorting happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for sorting confidential data like email lists, customer names, or proprietary content.

Slug Generator
9 answered questions Open tool →
What is a URL slug and why does it matter for SEO?

A slug is the human-readable part of a URL that identifies a page (e.g., /blog/how-to-use-slugs). SEO-friendly slugs help search engines understand page content and improve click-through rates. Short, descriptive slugs with target keywords rank better than generic ones like /post?id=123.

Should slugs use hyphens or underscores?

Google recommends hyphens (-) as word separators in URLs. Hyphens are treated as space equivalents by search engines, while underscores are treated as word joiners. Use hyphens for SEO-friendly slugs — "how-to-bake-bread" is better than "how_to_bake_bread".

Should slugs be lowercase?

Yes. Always use lowercase in slugs. URLs are case-sensitive on many servers, and /Case-Converter and /case-converter are two different URLs to Google. Lowercase slugs prevent duplicate content issues and ensure consistent linking.

How does the slug generator handle special characters?

The tool automatically removes or replaces special characters, accented letters are converted to their ASCII equivalents (é → e, ñ → n), and punctuation is stripped. This ensures clean, URL-safe slugs that work across all browsers and servers.

How long should a URL slug be?

Keep slugs short and descriptive — ideally 3-5 words. Google truncates long URLs in search results. "how-to-bake-sourdough-bread" is better than "how-to-bake-homemade-sourdough-bread-from-scratch-using-organic-flour". Include your primary keyword and cut unnecessary words.

Should I include stop words in my slugs?

Generally, remove stop words (a, an, the, in, of, to) from slugs. "how-bake-bread" is cleaner than "how-to-bake-bread". However, keep stop words if removing them makes the slug ambiguous or hard to read. Prioritize clarity over brevity.

Can I generate slugs for non-English text?

Yes. The slug generator handles non-English text by transliterating accented characters to their ASCII equivalents. Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and other non-Latin scripts are converted to romanized forms or removed, ensuring URL-safe output.

Should I change slugs for existing pages?

Avoid changing slugs for published pages — it breaks existing links and requires 301 redirects. If you must change a slug, always set up a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new one to preserve SEO authority and avoid 404 errors.

Is the slug generator free and private?

Yes. The tool is 100% free with no limits. All slug generation happens in your browser — your text is never uploaded to any server. Generate as many slugs as you need for personal or commercial projects.

Split

1 tools
Text Splitter
9 answered questions Open tool →
What splitting options does the text splitter offer?

The tool can split text by delimiters (commas, spaces, newlines, custom), by character count, by word count, or by lines. Each mode produces separate chunks that you can copy individually or together. Perfect for parsing data and formatting content.

Can I split text by a custom delimiter?

Yes. Enter any custom delimiter in the delimiter field. The tool will split your text wherever that delimiter appears. This is useful for parsing CSV data, log files, or text with custom separators.

Can I split text into equal-sized chunks?

Yes. Use the "Split by character count" mode to break text into chunks of a specific character length. This is useful for SMS message splitting, social media post chunking, or preparing data for systems with size limits.

Can I split by word count?

Yes. The "Split by word count" mode breaks your text into chunks containing a specified number of words. This is useful for creating reading segments, generating preview snippets, or dividing content into equal reading portions.

Does the splitter handle multi-line text?

Yes. The tool handles multi-line text correctly. When splitting by lines, each line becomes a separate chunk. When splitting by other modes, line breaks within chunks are preserved unless you choose to remove them.

Can I split CSV data?

Yes. Set the delimiter to a comma to split CSV data into individual values. For more complex CSV parsing with quoted fields, you may need a dedicated CSV parser, but for simple comma-separated values, the splitter works well.

Is there a limit on text size for splitting?

No hard limit, but very large texts with many split points may produce a large number of chunks. The tool handles this efficiently in your browser, but extremely large outputs may take a moment to render.

Can I split text on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on all devices. The interface is touch-friendly, making it easy to split text on phones and tablets without needing a desktop computer.

Is my text private when using the text splitter?

Yes. All splitting happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded to any server, stored, or tracked. This makes it safe for splitting confidential data like customer lists, log files, or proprietary content.
